ACCESS ACCOUNTS
l Modules - Nominal Ledger
The core of your accounting system.
The Nominal Ledger is the nucleus of your accounting system. With Access, the Nominal
Ledger is automatically updated, in real-time, by every other ledger - ensuring that up to the minute management information is instantly available. Two years' accounts can be open at any time, without losing any of the controls of a period based system, including a proper auditable cut off.
Snapshot Reports
Access Explorer provides a snapshot of your business, with sales, costs and overheads summarised onto a single screen. You have total control over what is displayed, slicing and dicing the data and, if required, moving away from the conventional Profit & Loss top-down hierarchical view. Budgets, actuals and differences can be combined, for the current year, last year, or next year. All this information is available with 24 months to view, quarter by quarter or in any increment you choose.
Detailed Management Reporting
Management reporting has never been this powerful or as easy to use. You can filter out information you do not need, then drill down (or bypass) eight levels of organisational and departmental analysis to cost centres and individual accounts. Select any combination of the information displayed and graph it directly from within Access. Drilling down, from the Trial Balance or an individual account - displays the double entry of transactions, allocation history, source documents (such as sales invoices) and even the order from which an invoice originated. Transactions can be kept indefinitely and reported on using any structure you have defined.
Flexible Journals
Recurring journals are available for direct debits and standing orders. Reversing journals can be posted simultaneously into two periods to cater for accruals and prepayments. Journals can be automatically profiled, by percentage, across any number of accounts. VAT and other taxes can be included or excluded, as required.
Integration with Excel
Installing Access VBA add-ins immediately puts Access Accounts' features onto the Microsoft Excel menu. This enables you to use all the functionality of Excel to create and adjust your budgets. It takes just moments to update information such as budget figures from your spreadsheet back into the Nominal Ledger.
